Carolyn Ann Litteral “Granny”, 62, wife of David Michael Wright, Sr. died September 1, 2019. Born March 7, 1957 in McDowell, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jackie L. Litteral and Lizzie Wallen Akers. Granny, a preschool teacher at LBT Daycare, touched hundreds of families through her twenty-three years of teaching. Survivors other than her husband include two children, David Michael (Angela) Wright, Jr. and Lizabeth (Jimmy) Gibson; nine grandchildren, Trey, Rachel, Brooke, J.T., Taylor, Jackson, Lucas, Tate, and McKenna; two great grandchildren, Hadley and Asher; two sisters, Freeda Akers Tackett, Margie Akers (James) Gore, and one brother, Carson Noah (Sharon) Akers; a host of nieces and nephews, and in-laws and “out-laws”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, a twin, Marilyn Lynn Wills and Nora Jane McCoy; and a brother, Vernon Akers. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Jessamine County, Kentucky.
