Norton Shores, MI - - - - Mrs. Louise (Mitchell) Lee left her earthly home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the age of 83. Louise Mitchell was born on June 12, 1936 in Montgomery, AL to Moses and Johanna (Hall) Mitchell. Her family moved to Muskegon when she was very young. She attended Muskegon Heights Public Schools and graduated in 1954. Louise married her grade school sweetheart and the love of her life, Linwood Enous Lee, in 1957. Their union produced two sons, Linwood Enous Lee II and LeNell Michael Lee. After high school, Louise initially worked at Hackley Hospital as a Nurses Aide and a Surgical Technician. After attending school in Minneapolis, MN, she earned a degree which allowed her the opportunity to work as a Medical Technician at Mercy Hospital for 33 years until her retirement in 1996. Louise was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was the chairman of the Widowhood Committee, a member of the Missions Department, and served on the Board of Trustees. She was also a lifetime member of the NAACP and the Urban League. Louise loved flowers, attending church, supporting her grandchildren's activities, and spending time with her family. She was loved by ALL that knew her.

Louise is survived by her husband of 62 years, Linwood Enous Lee; children, Linwood Enous (Sha-Ron) Lee II of Spring Lake, MI, LeNell Michael (Michelle) Lee of Arlington, TX, Byron Jewett of Houston, TX, and Tammy (Rick) Peace of Bloomfield Hills, MI; grandchildren, Linwood Enous Lee III and Lamar Linden Lee both of Spring Lake, MI, LeNell Michael Lee II and Lauren Michelle Lee both of Arlington, TX, Olivia Peace of Los Angeles, CA, Joslyn (Calvin) Turner and Shaun Jewett both of Houston, TX; sisters, Dorothy Watson of Flint, MI and Lori Bailey of Las Vegas, NV; in-laws, Delores Cole of Muskegon, MI, Janice (Don) Williams of Fruitport, MI; Elizabeth Mitchell of Flint, MI, Morris Peterson of Flint, MI, and Bruce Lee of Muskegon, MI as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Louise Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Johanna (Hall) Mitchell; siblings Josie Mitchell-Peterson, and Leroy Mitchell; in-laws, Enous Lee, Magnolia Lee, Dazalee Knox; Robert Swingler Jr., Marrian Ray, Donald Cole, Benjamin Harvey, Herbert Harvey, and Willie Mae Manley.

The Lee Family would like to especially thank Louise's caretakers; Marilyn Culp Beene, Shawn Carter, JoAnn Newsome, Patrese Hales, Sharon Portia, and Hospice-Elara Caring; special friends, Johnny Bell Hales, Ora Hines, Thelma Bacchus, Eleanor Hayes, Gloria White-Gardner, Dr. & Mrs. Steven (Kathleen) Demos, the Beulah Baptist Church Mission Department, as well as the entire Beulah Baptist Church family.

Life celebration services for Louise will be held on September 7, 2019 at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, 2601 Manz Street, Muskegon Heights, MI 49444, at 12:00 pm. Pastor James Williams officiating. Family hour will be held at the church, prior to the service, from 11:00 am 12:00 pm.
