Heather Michelle Ota-Watson, 41, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Heather was born in Columbus, Georgia on July 31, 1978, to Mark and Greta (Kolle) Ota. She was a third grade school teacher at Princeton Community Intermediate School where she created and coached the Dancing Tigers. Heather made others smile and loved people more than herself. During prom season she enjoyed helping girls do their hair. Heather was a published poet and loved camping and going to the drive-in theatre. She was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church. Heather always wanted to be a mom and loved her children dearly.

Heather is survived by her husband, Paris Maurice Watson of Princeton, IN; daughters, Parielle Watson and Kimiko Watson both of Princeton, IN; sons, Brandon Watson and Jordan Watson both of Princeton, IN; parents, Mark and Greta (Kolle) Ota; siblings, Karen Marie Jolly (Curt) of Hazelton, IN, Kenny Ota of Evansville, IN, Tim Ota (Megan) of Princeton, IN, Mary Ota of Evansville, IN, and Jonelle Ota (Jorge) of Hazelton, IN; mother and father-in-law, Regina and Paris Watson; sisters-in-law, Keshia, Parisha, Mattie, and Stacy Watson all of St. Paul, MN; 16 nieces; 17 nephews; and many cousins.

A celebration of Heather's life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Curtis Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Browning Funeral Home and again from 11:00 AM until service time Saturday.

The family would like to thank North Gibson School Corporation, Hillside United Methodist Church, and the Princeton community for all their support of Heather. The family would like to also thank her sister, Karen, and all of Heather's friends and family for the love they have shown her over the past few months.
