August 28th, 1999 he married Lisa Rene' Hewett, in Tahoe, CA.
He proudly raised two beautiful daughters, Carly & Megann which were his passion above all else.
He grew up in Quartz Hill, CA where he was very active in Sports: Football, Baseball, BMX riding,
Deep-sea fishing with his dad. He loved social gatherings with his friends & family.
He attended school in Quartz Hill, CA. from grade school through QHHS '85. After completing
Welding school he moved to the Sacramento area & became a Welder - Mechanic - Tow truck driver.
for ACE Towing in Rancho Cordova, He enjoyed that job & wanted to run his own towing company after retirement.
He applied to Sacramento Transit Authority & landed his carrier job. He entered as a mechanic on city buses & worked his way up to his present position, Bus Maintenance Supervisor, Shop Stewart, & Training Committee member.
He really excelled & loved his job & the bond he shared with the employees.
His family was a strong focus of his & he enjoyed a lot of travel.. A favorite was Tahoe, Vegas, Hawaii, lots & lots of trips to Disneyland!! His time was spent with his girls swimming, movies, & family activities. Loved to cook on the BBQ & share his results.
Nascar was another passion he shared with his friends & parents. He valued gun safety & liked to hunt.
Gary was preceded in death by his sister Sandra (Sam) & 3 of her children. He is survived by his father Ray, mother Janet his wife Lisa, his two daughters Carly & Megann, niece Sarah & family plus many - many aunts, uncles, & cousins! Gary had an extended family & friends from every walk of life.
Private service will be held in Roseville, CA & also a Life Celebration to share with friends & family in
