Walter Parker,66 of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday August 29, 2019 at his residence. A Memorial service celebrating Walter’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Shannon Salsman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Walter was born on November 29, 1952, in Goodwater, Alabama. He is the son of the late J.C. and Sarah Parker. He spent most of his childhood in Garland, Texas. He entered the U.S. Air Force in May 1971 and served until May 1975 in Big Spring, Texas. Walter & his wife Betty were married December 2, 1983. Walter loved to fish and hunt but most of all loved being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers William Luther Parker and Calvin Eugene Parker and sisters, Peggy Hargrove [error?? should be Martinez], Brenda Galusha and Janice Fails.

He was loved and will be missed by his wife Betty of West Tawakoni; son Daniel and Pam Parker of Garland; daughters; Karen and John Tinney of West Tawakoni, Mary and Kenneth Jones of Missouri, Barbara and Paul Meads and Shana and Dwight Ogles of West Tawakoni; 12 grand children and 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Jacqueline and Keith Randel of Garland and Norma Crowder of Tennessee.

She is survived by her son Walter Henderson Parker; daughters Norma Jean Crowder, Brenda Joyce Galusha, Peggy Faye Martinez, and Jacqueline Marie Randle; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Dorothy Marie Parker, Betty Delores Parker; and sons-in-law, Keith Randle and Paul Galusha.
