David Wayne Haynes

Mr. David Wayne Haynes, age 67 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Haynes was born March 14, 1952 to Theodore Roosevelt Haynes and Laura Stricklin Haynes.

Preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Haynes; daughter, Laura Beth Haynes; brother, Billy Haynes; mother and father, Theodore Roosevelt and Laura Haynes.

Mr. Haynes is survived by his sisters, Sandra Dugger (Glen), Shelia Haynes and Sue Newberry; brother, Lynn Haynes (Carolyn); several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of New Oakland Independent Baptist Church.

Services for Mr. Haynes will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dwight Raburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Blake Haynes, Anthony Haynes, Mitch Haynes, Joseph Russell, Scott Maness and Joel Fichtner.
