Mary Helen Woodlief Arnold, 92, of Louisburg, NC, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Rex Hospital.

She was born in Granville County on May 4, 1927, to the late Enoch and Ola Woodlief. She was an active member of Leah’s Chapel Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was well known and loved for her famous chicken pastry and banana pudding. Spending time with her family, friends, and Church fulfilled her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Willie Cearnes Arnold of the home, daughter Linda Layton (Gordon), sons, Willie Arnold (JoAnn), Nelson Arnold (Evon), and Donald Arnold (Connie), eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and five younger sisters.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Alford, and a grandson, Larry Alford.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11:00 am -12:00pm. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg, NC.
