At Radley Peter Baguley was one of those boys who always gave of his best to the community to which he belonged. He was a useful member of the Social, being a House Prefect, and at one time for a period acting as Head of the Social when he entirely rose to the occasion and proved himself most conscientious and thorough. He was also a very fair performer on the river. He went up to Worcester College, Oxford, and when there joined the University Air Squadron. So, on the outbreak of war he entered the R.A.F.V.R and was one of those captured near Singapore in February 1942. It was only quite recently that it was learnt that he had died as a prisoner of war in Palembang Camp, Sumatra.
