- Services for Mrs. Emma M. Paddock, 79, R1 Dowling, who died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, May 7, at the Barry County Medical Facility, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Leonard-Osgood Funeral Home.
- The Rev. E. F. Rhoades officiated and burial was in the Dowling Cemetery.
- Mrs. Paddock had been at the Medical Facility only one day.
- She was born in Baltimore Township on Oct. 21, 1887, the daughter of Richard and Wilmina (Coral) Morgan. She attended the Barney Mill School and married William Paddock of Baltimore Township on Oct 21, 1905.
- They were life-long farmers in Baltimore. He died on Oct. 26, 1944.
- Mrs. Paddock continued to make her home on the farm until last Fall when her health forced her to enter a nursing home. She had been in Pennock Hospital a week before being transferred to the Medical Facility.
- She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clinton (Sarah) Gregary [sic Gregory] of Hastings and Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Hill of Dowling; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
