Funeral services for Joe Donald (Bo) Scott, age 78, of Cookeville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday September 4 at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Madden will officiate. Interment will follow at West Cemetery.

Mr. Scott passed away suddenly Saturday evening August 31, 2019 at his home.

He was born December 11, 1942 in Cookeville, TN to the late James Herman and Mandy Bell Nash Scott.

Mr. Scott was a member of Brindley's Chapel Church of God.

He was retired truck driver and worked at Transtar Industries in Cookeville. Mr. Scott was also a dirt track racing enthusiast and known for his car number I-40.

He is survived by his; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Scott; four sisters, Ruth (Odell) Lafever, Louella (Ronnie) Jones, Doris Jackson, Corrine Mayberry; brother, Dale (Susie) Scott, all of Cookeville; grandchildren, Jeffery Smith of Cookeville, Chad and Jessica Clark of Nashville; great-grandchildren, Carlos and Belen Clark of Nashville; and great-great grandchild, Isaiah Clark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Faye McBride Scott; three sisters, Billie Schminey, Pearl Smith, and Reba Holly; two brothers, Zach Hickey, and Buck Scott.
