Jack DeWayne Caldwell of Vickerman Road, Mercer, died in Grove City Medical Center shortly after arrival on Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2016). He was 70. Born in Mercer on Sept 7, 1946, Jack was the son of the late George Lamoine Caldwell and Maidie Almedia Swingle Caldwell. He married the former Gail E. Frankenburg on May 12, 1967. She survives at the residence. Jack served his country in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church. He was a life-long truck driver. Jack enjoyed hunting, splitting wood, and watching sprint car racing. Most important to him was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Gail, Jack is survived by: one son, Paul Howard Caldwell and his wife Alta, of Waterloo, N.Y.; two brothers, George of Madisonville, Ky., and Gerald of Belleville, Mich.; and three granddaughters. Jack is preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Brian Thomas Caldwell; and two brothers, Charles and Paul Howard "Pete" Caldwell. Memorials may be given to Unity Presbyterian Church, 1857 Mercer West Middlesex Road, Mercer, PA 16137. CALDWELL Jack D., 70, of Mercer.
