John Sieben, February 2, 1921 - August 31, 2015

On Monday, Mr. John Sieben of Edmonton passed away peacefully at home while watching "The Price is Right", his favorite show.

John is lovingly remembered by Zella, Darrell and Carmen, Jennifer and Cale, as well as family members: Darlene and Ray, Andrew, Darren, Darcy, Denise and Jeff, Darren.

John enjoyed a long and exciting life - with a great interest in boxing in his younger years and a longstanding passion for horse racing of which he owned several horses and bet on many more to win! John worked at various jobs that all contributed to the man he became; a hardworking entrepreneur. Owning a high rise window washing company in the 1940's, he progressed toward the concrete industry, successfully starting Sieben Cement Contractors Ltd in 1951 which continues to flourish today.

In 1953 John married Zella and started a family of whom he has always been proud of.

John will fondly be remembered by the many jokes and stories that entertained those around him.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Cremation will follow.
