Marilyn Jane Law, 67, of Julesburg, CO passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Sedgwick County Nursing Home in Julesburg, CO. Memorial Services will be held at 10 am Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Julesburg, CO, with Pastor Trenton Christianson officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Marilyn was born on December 13, 1942 in Sidney, NE to Alec G. and Eva (Behm) Lei. She graduated from Sedgwick High School. She married Harold Law in 1962 and to his union three children were born: Marian, Keith, and Jennifer. Marilyn and Harold were divorced in 1974. She remarried and the family moved to Julesburg where they took over the Sunrise Bakery. After her divorce in 1982, she continued to run the bakery until she retired in 1990. Before she went to the Nursing Home, she operated a daycare center out of her home.

She loved all sports, especially the Broncos and Rockies. She loved to bake and decorate cakes and also collected every butterfly that she could. She cherished the many grandchildren that she had.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters Marian (Les) Yoshimoto of Sedgwick, Jennifer (Francisco) Alcala of Julesburg; son Keith Law of Julesburg; step-children Linda (Dale) Rye of Nacogdoches, Texas, Dan (Roberta) Law Sr. of Herford, Texas, Nancy (Russ) Tyndal of Holyoke, Colorado; sisters Lorraine (Robert) Shelton of Sedgwick, Caroline Dechant of Arizona; brothers Ernest (Janice) Lei of Florida, Harvey (Madia) Lei of Arizona, Roland (Carla) Lei of Arvada, Gerald (Pauline) Lei of Julesburg; grandchildren Amber Law, Ashley Law, Eric Alcala, Alex Alcala, Dan Law Jr., Scott Law, Troy Law, Brad Law, Brett Law, Clifford Law Jr., Kenny Law, Brian Law.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Eva and Alec; brothers Melvin, Herbert, James, Arnold; the children’s father, Harold, and step-son Clifford.
