Professional Football Player. He played the offensive guard position for the National Football League's Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and Green Bay Packers during a nine year career (1993-2000, 2002). Born Jeffrey Leon Blackshear, he played football collegiately at Northeast Louisiana University. He was drafted in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and went on to play for the Seahawks for the next three years. In 1996, he joined the Baltimore Ravens and became an anchor of their offensive line for the next four years. He was released by the team after the 1999 season due to salary cap issues and joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2000. He played one season with the Chiefs and another with the Green Bay Packers in 2002, before retiring in 2002. In 2014, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and lost his battle with the disease five years later.
