Tommy was born October 10, 1937 in Bivins, Texas to Oliver and Woodie Adams. He was retired from ArkLa Gas; was a member and deacon at Huffines Baptist Church; and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending his free time in his garden growing all kinds of vegetables. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Reynolds; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Burton Adams of Atlanta, Texas; daughters, Tammy McAnally and husband Robert of Tucson, Arizona, Ramona R. Adams of Bivins, Texas; son, Tad Adams of Naples, Italy; sisters, Ann Weemes of Marshall, Texas, Dean Byrum and husband Carrel of Bivins, Texas; brother, Paul Adams and wife Pat of Longview, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael Adams, Adam McAnally, Robin McAnally, Marla Munsinger; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, September 2, 2019 at Huffines Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Dee Cruson officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, September 2, 2019 from 1 pm to 2 pm at Huffines Baptist Church.
Interment will be in Huffines Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Children’s Medical Center, 2777 North Stemmons Freeway, Suite 1700, Dallas, Texas 75207.
