Rosie May Harris was born May 7, 1930 in Amity, Arkansas to John "Willie" and Nora Weeks. Rosie was the oldest of nine children. Rosie had been a member of the Baptist church since she was 16 years old, and served faithfully wherever she lived. In 1951, Rosie moved to Dallas, Texas and married George Alvin Morse.
Rosie passed away at the age of 89 on August 30, 2019 in Van, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, George Alvin Morse; son, Charles Alvin Morse; grandson, Jason Ross Paul; and her late husband, Bill Harris.
Rosie is survived by her brother, Donnie Weeks (Ann); daughters, Patricia Boulaknadal of Whitney, Denise Paul (Johnnie) of Cleburne, and Phylis Ayyad (Yusef) of Mesquite; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
