Donald G. Dennis, 85, of Berwick died Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at Berwick Retirement Village II.
Born Aug. 17, 1934, in Berwick, he was the son of the late George Roy and Laura (Petty) Dennis.
Mr. Dennis was employed as a fryer at Wise Potato Chips.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 38 years, the former Martha Deater, his son, Roy Dennis, three sisters: Endora Acornley, Lois Smith and Gladys Winders, and two brothers: Franklin Dennis and Bertis Dennis.
Surviving are two sons: Gene Dennis and his wife, Melissa, of Wapwallopen, and Scott Dennis and his wife, Lori, of Berwick; his daughter, Laura, wife of Carl Rinehimer, of Berwick; his daughter-in-law, Anne Dennis, of Nescopeck; five grandchildren: Jacob Broyan, Jeremy Broyan, Laura Ruhmel, Roy Dennis and Scott Dennis; nine great-grandchildren: Morgan Broyan, Jacob Broyan, Alex Ruhmel, Grayson Dennis, Angelia Broyan, Antonia Broyan, Adrianna Broyan, A.J. Broyan, and Jacob Broyan; and two sisters-in-law: Ethel Dennis and Bonnie Dennis, both of Berwick.
A visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick.
A private graveside service will be held in Old River Church Cemetery, Wapwallopen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Old River Church, c/o Harold and Leda Hinchcliff, 86 Ruckle Hill Road, Wapwallopen, PA 18660.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., Berwick.
