Evalene Bazar Rogers, age 85, of Osage Beach, Missouri (previously of Alexandria, LA) passed away January 20, 2018, at Lakeside Meadows Retirement Community in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Evalene was born April 29, 1932, in Montgomery, LA, the daughter of James Peyton and Ruth Harris Bazar. She was the wife of James Rogers, owner of Royal Traveler Company of Alexandria, LA.
Evalene is survived by her daughter Susan (Ken) Bowden of Lake Ozark, MO; son James Allen (Kathy) Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Brenda (Mark) Donnell of Holts Summit, MO; grandchildren, Chad Bowden of Garland, TX, James Kenneth Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO, Sarah (Scott) Aley of Colorado Springs, CO, Annette Phillips of Holts Summit, MO, and great grandchildren Lillie Abigale Bowden, Christian Forrest Aley, Audrey Marie Phillips and Aaron James Phillips; one sister, Jimmie Floriece (Herman) Heminger and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Evalene was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Rogers; by her parents James Peyton and Ruth Bazar; her brothers, JW Bazar, Isaac Bazar and Huey Bazar; her sisters Kathleen Teddlie, Willie Driggers, Lois Drewett, Betty Adams and Creola Grace Fletcher; and many other beloved family members.
Evalene was a long time member of Community Baptist And Parkview Baptist Churches in Alexandria, LA. She was an employee at Provine Studio for many years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Alexandria Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:30-11:00 am prior to services.
Interment will follow at Alexandria Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
