Actor. Born on the Thamas, England, he began his film career in pre World War II British films and after serving in the Royal Air Force he went on to appear in over 50 feature movies. Some of his most memorable performances included "Helter Skelter" (1949), "All for Mary" (1952), "Up the Creek" (1958), "Tom Jones" (1963), "Mary Poppins" (1964) and "The Love Bug" (1968). For television his credits included "Theatre Royal", "Walt Disney Presents", "Jackanory", "Comedy Playhouse" and "Hawaii Five-O". He retired from acting in the early 1980s and died of a stroke at age 83 in Buckinghamshire, England.
