She was born August 8, 1937 in Addis, Louisiana to Charles & Leola Lousteau. She grew up in the Baton Rouge area and was active in the local 4H club. She later attended LSU and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physics. After she married and had 2 of her 3 children, she moved to Panama City. She was an active member in her church where she taught Sunday School, Bible studies, and led prayer groups for many years. She enjoyed travel, painting, camping, visiting the beach, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Leola Lousteau, her husband, Eugene Henry, and her brother, Rodney Lousteau.
She is survived by her brother, Paul Lousteau (Angela), her sister, Janet Bantuelle (Mickey), and sister-in-law, June Lousteau; her children, Becky Winterman (Bob), Kenny Henry, and Karen Wilson (Ron); her grandchildren, Chris Winterman (Teresa), Tommy Winterman (Kristen), Nikki Gamble (Paul), Austin Wilson (Jackie), Claire Husband (Taylor), Jared Wilson, and “The girls” Julia, Cienna, & Alora Wilson; and her great-grandchildren Braden, Kiersten & Robby Winterman, Cole, Rebecca & Jack Winterman, and Calvin & Avery Wilson.
Her funeral service/celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a donation to the Panama City Rescue Mission (www.pcrmission.org) in her name.
