Don Allen, Jr. of Irving, TX passed away August 10, 2019 at the age of 80 years. He was born August 10, 1939 to the late Don and Eleanor Allen.

Don was a successful Franchise Salesman with an outgoing personality and sense of humor. He loved music and was a good singer and dancer. Don dealt cards for casino parties for over 20 years and always enjoyed making people laugh. He and Jere Lynne raised and showed collie dogs for many years and Don had an antique booth to keep him busy.

Preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Shirley Allen Kopp and a granddaughter, Denae Allen, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jere Lynne Kalkreuth Allen; sons, Chad and Lance Allen; grandchildren, Brianne, Tawny, Hanna and Jace; great grandchildren Kinleigh and Madelyn; nephews, Mark Kopp and Sean Kalreuth; and a niece, Lynn Dagenais.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving.
