Randall (Randy) Dee Wright passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Randy was a lifelong resident of Marion. Randy was born on April 16, 1957 to the late Robert and Eleanor (Gunter) Wright. He married the catch of his life, Barbara Carol Shull on November 27th, 1976, and she survives.
Randy graduated from Marion High School and worked in Plant Engineering at Marion General Hospital for 28 years. Randy had been a member of the local B.A.S.S. Fishing Club for several years and has served as Trustee at the Marion Fraternal Order of the Eagles
Randy never met a stranger and made friends with everyone he met. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He loved to be out on the water fishing for bass or salmon. Randy enjoyed playing cards, bingo and traveling. His greatest joy was spending time with family, playing games, and calling his friends and daughters daily. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his two daughters Amber (James) Carpenter and Carolyn (Travis) McKim; five granddaughters, Brianna (Philip) Vasquez, Caitlyn McKim, Madison Carpenter, Emma McKim, and Morgan McKim; two great-grandsons, Bryson and Braven Vasquez; four brothers, Gary (Lois) Wright, Robert (Roxie) Wright, Steve(Linda) Wright, and Mike (Dea) Wright; two sisters, Janet Faunce and Kathy Ewbank. Randy is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Richard Faunce and Hershal Ewbank.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 933 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana 46953
