Silas Winchester was born in Brookline, MA 5 Sep. 1758. He married Sally King at Wrentham, MA in 1783. He served in the American Revolution from Brookline, then moved to Wrentham. About 1787 Silas moved with his wife and children to an area along the Penobscot River in ME to a part of there town of Orrington that is now Holden.
