Mr. John Bradford Winningham, 75, husband of Faye Collins Winningham died Tuesday, August 27, 2019, his and Mrs. Faye’s 53rd wedding anniversary, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Winningham was born on September 22, 1943 in Columbia, the son of the late John and Margaret Stewart Winningham. He was a retired truck driver, having driven for more than 35 years. Mr. Winningham, who dearly loved the Lord, was a founding member of Grace Baptist Church of Horry County, where he served as deacon. He was also an avid fisherman.
Surviving Mr. Winningham in addition to his wife of the home are, three daughters, Estelle (Skeeter) Elliott of Nichols, Susan (Kevin) Cook of Loris and Judie (Paul) Hooks of Mullins; four sisters, Lila (James) Summerlyn of Gaston, Joan Dooley of Columbia, Margaret (Leroy) Yenny of Cayce and Jonnie Mae Ritterbandt of West Columbia; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, at Grace Baptist Church of Horry County, with Rev. Marcus Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
