Paul Edward Hudson Sr, former resident of Del City passed away August 22, 2019. He was 78. Paul was born on April 21, 1941 in Asher, Oklahoma to Columbus Hudson and Bernice (Hall) Hudson. The son of a diesel mechanic for Amis Construction, he lived in numerous towns across Oklahoma growing up, and attended Crooked Oak High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran and was later Honorably Discharged.

Paul worked at Schwab’s Meat Company as the plant manager until retirement in 2005. He was an avid golfer, and a big outdoorsman. He loved fishing and hunting with his family. He especially enjoyed the tradition of hunting in the Kiamichi Mountains. One of his favorite quotes was “If you hunt with your sons, you will never have to hunt for your sons.” One of Paul's proudest achievements was a lifelong passion for charity. He was a generous benefactor to numerous charitable organizations.

He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Paul (Kerri), Sheryl (Mike), Robert (Karen), Dedrah (Lonnie); 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; his brother David (Donna) Hudson; sisters Barbara Reid, Edith Hudson, Jerry Hudson, Diane Hale and Mary Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 30 from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm with family present from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Ford Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Services in Midwest City with Rev. Dude Youngblood, officiating.
