David M. Waggoner Sr., 66, of Elizabethtown, passed from this life at 9:50 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
David was born March 20, 1953, in Freetown, Indiana, the son of Lawrence and Faye Hunter Waggoner.
Mr. Waggoner retired from Product Engineering Company in 2015 where he had worked for 22 years.
He married Tara L. Butler January 14, 1995.
Survivors include his wife; children, Michelle (Jeff) Wade of Bedford, Tanya (Jeff) Spencer of Kentucky, Brian Waggoner of Bedford, Chassie Wolford of Edinburgh, Amanda (Kevin) Newsom of Edinburgh and Alicia Ball of Seymour; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lonnie (Margaret) Waggoner of North Vernon and Keith Waggoner of Columbus; and his sisters, Sharon Ogle, Betty Smith and Annette Kimberlin all of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David M. Waggoner Jr.; 8 brothers; and 3 sisters.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to time of service.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
