Linda (Hudlin) Hood, 70, of Tahoka passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was born on October 13, 1948 to Harry and Eartha (King) Hudlin in Waco, Texas. She worked for the Lubbock State School for 15 years, Tahoka Care Center for 20 years and Lynnwood
Assisted Living until her retirement in 2017. She was a Baptist by faith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Hudlin of Tahoka, Sherri Hudlin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tammi Hood-Pillow and husband Michael of Lubbock, Tesha Shaffer-Hood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kevin Hood of Tahoka, Chasity Hood-Holland and husband Adam of Lubbock and LaShaunda Hood of Tahoka; siblings, Harrietta Quincey-Hudlin of Amarillo, Connie Lawson-Hudlin of Tahoka and Rayford Harris and wife Debbie of Tahoka; eight grandchildren, Kelee Pillow, Tristan Shaffer, Ke’Shawn Hood, Trejan Easter, Anyssah Holland, Kaleb Pillow, Colton Holland and Kaegen Hood. Linda also leaves behind her honorary grandchildren, Jeremy Lawson, Larry Murphy, Lance Murphy and Brittney Hair as well as extended family.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Eartha Hudlin and husband, Robert Hood in 2009.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2019 with the family receiving friends from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31. 2019 at First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Nevels Memorial Cemetery.
