Alberta Luella Ralston, daughter of Simon and Bertha (Gallagher) Bockes, was born September 7, 1907 on the family farm in Grundy Center, Iowa. Alberta was united in marriage to Elon Ralston on December 10, 1925 in Grundy Center, Iowa. Alberta worked in the kitchen at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital for 17 years retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Grundy Center United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elon in 1954, an infant son Merle; her 4 sons-in-law: Richard Shaw, Barry Cosford, Kay Reynolds and Robert Berger; 4 brothers: Bert, John, Clarence and Dale; and 2 sisters: Lura Clinite and Vernie Joyce.
Alberta is survived by her 6 children; Darleen and her husband Carroll Haren of Grundy Center, Margie Reynolds of Grundy Center, Leonard Ralston and his wife Donna of Grundy Center, Iowa, Marvin Ralston and his wife Rosie of Grundy Center, Iowa, Cheryl Berger of Vinton, Iowa and Susan Cosford of Selkirk, Ontario, Canada, 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren.
