Mildred Neota "MamMaw" Gray was born in Texas City, Texas to parents Newton Flora and Alma (Scovill) Flora. Mildred, "Millie" to friends and family, was the eighth of nine children.

Mildred married the love of her life, Jack Gray, in 1939 and were together until Jack's passing in June of 1987. Three years after being wed, Mildred gave birth to her one and only child, Warren Gray (Sr). Mildred and Jack, and their baby boy Warren, moved to California in 1948 and found themselves in Dinuba, California where Mildred's parents had settled. There Jack and Mildred would work in retail sales, eventually owning their own vacuum cleaner and sewing machine sales and repair store. Business (All Best Vacuum Cleaner and Sewing Machines in Fresno, California) was good for the pair and they were blessed in business and in family. Top national sales marks would find the couple awarded by manufacturers of vacuums and sewing machines, with trips overseas to Italy and Switzerland.

The family would move to Turlock in 1977 and live together on a small ranch west of town. Later in life the pair would boat, water-ski, and RV across the Western United States. After Jack's passing in '87, Mildred kept RV'ing and enjoying time on the road, spending time with friends and family wherever she went.

Mildred was a long-time member of the Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church in Turlock and now sits in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and is reunited with her loved ones passed. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her brothers Kenneth, Gaylon, Newton, Norman and Charles; and sisters Wanza and Margaret.

Mildred is survived by her brother, Lewis Flora and her son Warren Gray, Sr. and his wife Carolyn (Rube) Gray. She is also survived by two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Mildred passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, at Brandel Manor in Turlock, surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was 99 years old. A graveside service is planned for Mildred at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Turlock Memorial Park, Turlock.
