Deborah “Deb” A. Day, 60 of Elgin, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva. She was born on August 22, 1958 in Kingsport, TN the daughter of Kemp & Louise Hammonds Hughes.
She is survived by her mother, husband David A. Day and a daughter Christina Wascher; step children David Day, Daniel (Trudy) Day and Donovan (Jennifer) Day; sisters: Kim Swienton and Mickey (Dan) Zopfi. Grandchildren: Pvt. Jeremy Wascher, Zachary Wild; step grandchildren: Trevor, Devon, Lola and Maddie .
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Park, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Anderson Animal Shelter of South Elgin.
