Dale Edward Boyd, 58, of Searcy, passed away August 25, 2019.  He was born June 25, 1961 in Beebe to the late Arvindale and Mary Emma Jean Cowan Boyd.  Dale spent his twenty-nine year career as a dedicated school teacher.  He taught for seven years in Murfreesboro and twenty-two years in Lonoke.  He also tutored students in his spare time and was said to have been a “principal” without the title because of all that he did at the school.  He was honored as Teacher of the Year in 1999.  Dale enjoyed sports and was very outgoing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Boyd.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Esther (Charles) Wyman, Judy (John) Glenn, Gale (Pamela) Boyd and Jimmy Boyd; many nieces and nephews and the innumerable students, faculty and staff that he impacted during his teaching career.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home with Brother Chuck Ball officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
