He was a member of the Donnally Mills United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his yard. He lived a simple life.
He was a widower of Elizabeth O. (Landis) Mather. his wife of 65 years who prededed him in death in 2004.
He is survived by one son, Ronald J. Mather and his wife, Mary of Newport; sister Maybelle Ross of Millerstown; grandchildren, Sheri Myers, Mark Mather, and Tanya Shenk; and 8 great grandchildren.
Services were held on July 5th from the Donnally Mills United Methodist Church, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
