Son of the late Miss Sadie Harris Tawley. He attended the public schools of Chatham County. He was affectionately known as “Spinnaroo.” He was previously employed by the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education as a custodian for many years. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Ricky, and Wilburt Harris. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Delphine Harris; four sons: Oran Petty, Sr., Antonio Petty, Sr., Armon Wesley, Keith Harris II; one daughter: Kha'De'Jah Harris (all of Savannah, GA); eleven grandchildren: Charmaine (Trey, Sr.) Elder (Columbus, OH), Jabrea Bryant, Javonna Brown, Naya Steward, Antonio Petty, Jr., Alaysia Pringle, Keith Harris III, Anterrio Pringle, Oran Petty, Jr., Brielle Petty, Emory Coprick (expected arrival July 2019) (all of Savannah, GA); two great-grandchildren: Tani’Lynn and Trey Elder, Jr. (Columbus, OH); five sisters: Donna Harris (Savannah, GA), Beverly Kemp (Savannah, GA), Betty Brown, Finis Sims, MaryAnn Chapline, Kellye Reid (all of Jacksonville, FL); three brothers: John Reid (Savannah, GA), Martin Williams, Anthony Williams (Jacksonville, FL).
