Fannie, affectionately known to family & friends as "Babe" was the Matriarch of her family. She was an "Angel" sent from heaven to love & nurture; she loved children. Fannie was a homemaker who devoted her life to her late husband, children, grand-children and great-grandchildren along with other's lives she touched. She served as a member of Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church for over 65 years, and was honored as a lifetime member of the Lay Organization in 2006. Fannie enjoyed volunteering at the church & her love for children guided her to serve as a school volunteer for years.
Fannie loved shopping, cooking, gardening, traveling, fishing, bowling, & sports. Fannie, also known as "The Candy Lady" was loved by many for her neighborhood candy store. Her greatest love was spending time with her family & posing for pictures, her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
Fannie was a strong, determined, and fierce woman who led by example, she inspired us with her "99" years of wisdom and her life's journeys, her footprints will be forever embedded in our hearts.
