Mrs. Fannie L. Lomband (sic) Faulk (sic), the wife of Allison Faulk (sic), and well known in the vicinity of Nelson, departed this life for the life everlasting, September 11, 1926, at her home in Kimball, Nebraska, after a short illness.
Sister Faulk (sic) was born in Bethel (sic), Maine, March 18 (sic), 1857, and at the time of her death was 69 years, 5 months and 27 days of age. She was a member of the Nelson Christian church, where she was baptized and where her membership remained. She was of the early pioneer stock, her parents coming to Cass county (sic), this state, when she was only ten years of age, they being among the early settlers who broke the virgin sods. She was united in marriage with Allison Faulk (sic) in 1873, and they came to make their new home on Elk creek (sic) near Nelson, in the autumn of 1877, in the days when it took faith and courage to make mother earth yeild up what the future held for home builders.
There was to bless this union an only son who preceded his mother years ago and by whose side she will rest in Nelson cemetery (sic).
When the community was apprised of the fact of the death of Sister Faulk (sic) great sorrow was felt for Mr. Faulk (sic) whom every one knew in this vicinity. The funeral was held from tht (sic) Christian church Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. W. Ray Arnold officiating.
