He enlisted as a Private in March 1862 and served with Co. B of the 44th GA Infantry. He was discharged near Manassas, Va on Sept 25, 1862 and he later enlisted again as a private in Pruden's Battalion Ga Light Artillery State troops. He was paroled in Macon, Ga in 1865. She gives his death as 9/27/1917. Death is included from the Atlanta History Center which matches this info and says burial in this cemetery.
