Obituary for Sharon Kay Sanders
Sharon Kay Sanders, 70, of Danville, WV went home to be with the Lord on November 13th, 2018 at Hillcrest Health Care Center after a short illness. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Ann Rushing, sister Genetta Thorpe, brother Richard Sizemore, and her niece and nephew. She is survived by her sister Rosetta Ann Rushing Buckner of Danville, two nieces Charlotte Parsons of Peytona and Cindy Linville of Danville, one nephew Mike Buckner of Danville, two great-nieces Cassandra Kimbler of Foster and Bethany Buckner of Huntington, four great-nephews Cameron Parsons of Hurricane, Caleb and Jacob Linville of Danville, and Ethan Buckner of Danville, one great-great niece Laila and one great-great nephew Wade. There will not be a traditional funeral service, as Sharon donated her body to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine to serve as a learning opportunity and research for many bright and upcoming healthcare providers. A Celebration of Life will take place on December 1st, 2018 at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church at 01:00 pm, where Sharon was a long time member. Wayne Runion will be officiating. There will be food at the home of Rosetta Buckner on Low Gap Road following the Celebration of Life. The family would like to thank the Hillcrest Health Care Center staff for taking great care of Sharon during her time of residency.
