It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Patricia "Pat" Elizabeth Stanley on Aug. 23, 2019, after an extended illness. She was the third child of Verna and Garnet Lewis, born July 2, 1940, in Grant County, Indiana.
Pat was a 1958 graduate of Marion High School. She attended Marion Business College and worked at Lindley Box Company before marrying the love of her life. She was a wonderful wife, loving mom, and grandma, talented artist, master gardener and devout Christian.
Pat is survived by her three daughters: Robin (Dan) Dohner of Indianapolis, Regina (Joe) Carroll of Oldenburg and Renee Smith (Bob Hopper) of Anderson; four grandchildren: Tricia Litmer, Bobby (Rylie) Thornsberry, Billy Carroll, and Joshua Smith; and five great-grandchildren: Lane, August and Trae Litmer, and Easton and Ivy Thornsberry. Pat is also survived by her sister, Shirley Lostutter; her brother, Paul (Anita) Lewis; as well as sisters-in-law, Roma Lewis and Eunice (Bob) Dalton.
Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert Lee Stanley; her parents; her brother, Bill Lewis; and brothers-in-law, Fred Lostutter and Tom Stanley.
In lieu of flowers, you may make contributions to the American Lung Disease Association or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
At Pat's request, there will be a private graveside ceremony. Her earthly body will be laid to rest at The Garden of Eternal Life Mausoleum, Anderson Memorial Park.
