Joseph Studebaker, 82, patriarch of the Flora Church of the Brethren, died late Friday night at the Indiana Central Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the family home in Flora with the Reverend D.W. Shock officiating. Burial was in the Hoover Cemetery, Cass County, Indiana.
Mr. Studebaker was born in Cass County, Indiana on May 27, 1853, the first of 13 children to John and Elizabeth Studebaker.
Surviving are Catherine J (Gish) Studebaker, his widow; and the following children: Lulu at home, Harvey of Gainesville, Florida; and a stepson, John Mummert of Walton, Indiana.
