JOE ROBERSON was the son of Westley Roberson.

Obituary
"Funeral services for Joe Roberson, of Route 1, DeBerry, will be held here at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wayside Baptist Church. The Rev. J.W. Williams will officiate. Burial will be at Bell Fountain Cemetery. Mr. Roberson was a native and lifelong resident of DeBerry. He attended Panola County public schools, and he was employed here as a farmer. He was a member of the Wayside Baptist Church. Surviving him are his widow, Sylvia Roberson, of DeBerry; three sons, M.T. Roberson, of Carthage, Johnny Roberson, of San Francisco, California, and C.B. Roberson, of Kansas City, Kansas; eight daughters, Mrs. Mattie B. Williams, Miss Addie B. Roberson and Mrs. Joe Etta Mitchell, all of DeBerry, Mrs. Ella D. Allison, of San Fernando, California, Mrs. Lula smith, of Berkeley, California, Mrs. Tenola Thornton, and Mrs. Charlie Mae Brown, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mrs. Bernice Herbert, of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Matthew Roberson and Davis Roberson, both of Longview; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Hall, of Fresno, California; 51 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren."
