Kenneth L. Ramsey, 84, of Altamont died at 2:35 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Burial will follow in Moccasin Cemetery, Moccasin. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Altamont Meals on Wheels.
Kenneth was born on Thursday, December 13, 1934 in Holland, Illinois to Larkin and Lennie (Givens) Ramsey. He married Paulean Fee on April 30, 1956. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church and was retired from Crane Packing, Vandalia and from farming.
He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Paulean Ramsey of Altamont;sons, Kenneth Ramsey, Jr. and his wife Patty of Louisville, Russell Ramsey and his wife Janet of Altamont, and Edward Ramsey of Altamont; daughter, Sandra White and her husband Gary of Altamont; sister Sandra Wendte and her husband Howard of Dieterich; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, one sister in infancy and one grandchild.
