Professional Football Player. For nine seasons (1957 to 1958 and 1960 to 1966), he played at the defensive tackle, defensive end and tackle positions in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears. Born Robert Brian Kilcullen, he attended Southwest High School in Missouri and played collegiate football at Texas Tech University. Selected by the Chicago Bears during the 8th round of the 1957 NFL Draft, he totaled 104 career regular season games. His career was interrupted while he served with the United States Army in 1959. Along with future Hall of Fame player Doug Atkins, Kilcullen formed a highly-successful defensive end duo which contributed to the Chicago Bears capturing of the NFL Title in 1963. After retiring from football, he worked in the real estate industry. He died of complications from Alzheimer's disease.
