Frederick Standing was one of at least 19 Children born to parents Thomas Cooper Standing (1820 - 1882) and Jane Standing nee Hart (1829 - 1901). He was born 1 Aug 1870 in Folkestone and Baptised in Christ Church on 2 Oct 1870. On 18 Dec 1897 he married Rose Hannah Taylor (1867 - 1931) and they had two sons George and Frank. After Rose passed away he Married Marie Ethel Jones in 1932. He was for a number of years the Superintendent and Engineer of the Public Baths in the town of Folkestone. During World War I he was an Air Raid Warden and sounded the alarm from the top of the Public Baths. He became an Air Raid Warden again in 1941 during World War II. He died in Folkestone in 1946 and although his details are recorded on the grave curb stone there is no burial record (available on the Ancestry website) to show that he was actually interred in the family grave.
