Muskegon - - - - Mr Jerry Earl Hackey, age 90, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 27, 1929 to Leroy & Margaret (Krupp) Hackey and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former June Cherney on August 26, 1977. Mr Hackey had been employed as a Millwright for SD Warren for over 30 years until retiring. Jerry was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Don Rea Post 8846. He enjoyed traveling with his wife June and playing golf. Jerry always played by the rules and was a good man that loved God, Country & Family.

SURVIVORS Daughters, Susan Crow, Jennifer Hackey, Zoe Pearson; stepsons, Mark Cherney & Frank Cherney; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews & friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, June; parents; son, Jeffery Hackey; stepsons, Rick & Bruce Cherney; brother, Jack Hackey; sisters, Jean Achterhof, Barbara Forrest; 2 half-brothers, Harold Madison, Martin Madison.

MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, August 30, 2019, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Alexander Koppel officiating. Internment at Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: V.F.W. Post 8846 or St. Judes.
