Sue Carol Powell, age 82 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her home. She was born June 4, 1937 to the late Thomas W. Powell and Ruth Towe. She was a beautician, having been co-owner of “Sue and Carol’s Beauty Salon” on East 5th Street in Russellville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets where she sang in the choir and served on the decorating committee. She directed the “Body Recall” classes at the old armory for many years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl “Buddy” Powell

Funeral Services for Sue Carol Powell will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets with Bro. Joe Ball officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Tuesday at First Baptist Church from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home an church.
