Services for Claude Alsup, 72, of Route 2, Lascassas, who died at home of heart failure Sunday, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Wood will officiate.

His parents were the late Grover Cleveland and Eunice Patterson Alsup.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Burks Alsup of Jefferson Pike; a son, Edwin Alsup of the Almaville community; a daughter, Mary Ann Foley of New York; a half-sister, Gwendolyn Hopkins of Nashville; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Odell Webb, Robert Winn, Finis Brandon, J. W. Jordan, Ernest Jordan, Jim Jordan, Charles Jordan, Gene McKee, and Robert Tarpley.

A member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church, he was a retired farmer and had been in the timber business.

Visitation with the family will be held after 2 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Chapel.
