The funeral of Frank Binion, 72, planter and merchant of Girard, who died Thursday afternoon in an Alexandria hospital, was held Friday at 2 p.m. at Girard with the Masonic lodge in charge. Rev. D. C. Barr, of Oak Ridge, officiated. Interment was in New Salem cemetery at Girard.

Mr. Binion who operated the Barr plantation, was active in Methodist church circles and in Masonry for many years. He was twice married. His wife wife was Miss Mary E. Beane, of Alto, and his second wife was Miss Eula Mae Buff [sic Duff], also of Alto. Neither wife survives.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Tom Mulhearn, of 2915 South Grand street, and Mrs. Thomas Wilson, of 1000 St. John street. One son, Jack Binion, of Alto, also survives as do two brothers, R. L. Binion of Girard, and W. C. Binion of Oak Ridge.
