Mrs. Walker was born on Staten Island in 1929 and was raised in Port Richmond and was a graduate of Port Richmond High School. In her younger years she worked for the telephone company as a supervisor. Later on she focused on raising her four children and became a homemaker. The most important thing to Phyllis was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
