Arthur Eugene Bennett was born on March 17, 1968 to the late Ernest Eugene Bennett and Mary Elizabeth Leak Bennett.

He departed this life at home on Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Arthur attended Bowman High School where he graduated in 1986. After high school, he began his work career at Valley Hosiery in Wadesboro, NC. He chose different paths along the way; his final job was working for VIHC Security selling home security systems, a job that he truly enjoyed.

Arthur was raised in a home filled with laughter and love. He was the kind of guy that didn’t meet strangers, he would socialize with anyone he came in contact with or encountered.

He had a vibrant personality along with a smile that would light up a room. Arthur was very friendly and compassionate towards others. He loved and enjoyed life, his family and his friends. He was such a joy to be around not matter the occasion.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Bennett; one brother, Ernest Bennett; and one sister, Pauline Phillips.

Arthur will be extremely missed by: his sons, Arthur A. Bennett, Jr. of Wadesboro, NC, Nigel Bennett of Huntersville, NC; his very dear and beloved friend, Sharone Chiles; one granddaughter, Arianna Bennett; one grandson, Ahmir Bennett; four brothers, Perry (Gwen), Stanley D., Edward (Sadie), and Anas; four sisters, Minister Sara Leak, Linda (Leroy) Marshall, Esther, Sheba (Derrick) Willoughby; a special nephew, Torrey Phillips, along with eleven other nephews; eight nieces, all whom he loved dearly; two aunts, Virginia Smith of Wadesboro, NC and Edna Gatewood of Queens, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, August 25, 2019, 2:00 pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

Interment will be in Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West. Wadesboro, North Carolina.
