Lucille “Tenny” Wells, age 75, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, August 22, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. Tenny was born September 1, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Aaron Lovell and Jean (Wilson) Lovell. Tenny married Nelson Wells on June 8, 1962 in Vandalia, Illinois; he survives. Tenny enjoyed crocheting and baking, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Grace Pointe Assembly of God Church in Carthage.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Heather Worley (Daniel), Carthage, and Mary Young (Andy), Carthage; two sons, James Wells (Rene), Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and Aaron Wells (Mary), Carthage; three brothers, Aaron Lovell, Jim Lovell, and Bob Lovell; thirteen grandchildren, Nelson, Ronnie, James Hunter, Jack and Victoria Wells; Margaret Cooper, Aaron and Jim Wells; Tommy James, David and Johnny Mullen; Heather and Tracy Young; and ten great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Myer Lovell; two sisters, Mary Lovell and Margie Mesker; and two grandchildren, Faith Mullen and Tenny Mullen.

Visitation will be held 6-8 pm, Monday, August 26, 2019 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Knell Mortuary.
